SITTING AT LAPTOP THINKING HARD ABOUT IDEAS GETTING
          FRUSTRATED

Pacing back and forth in kitchen

Sits back down at laptop only to get up

          Pacing around living room

Lying in awkward position on chair

Looks at clock sees the time is 3:02am
"I think its time for bed" he says

Gets up and walks down hall into bedroom.

As he leaves room he turns around and runs back to his
laptop and quickly starts new story

          Starts typing into script
"A man is working hard late into
the night. He looks at the clock
and see’s its 3:02am and he decides
to go to bed, as he goes to bed he
thinks he see’s something. When he
                    realizes there’s nothing there he
walks away only to show there is a
                    figure in the window."

He looks at the screen and has a sigh of relife, seeming
satified he looks back at the clock and sees the time still
          reads 3:02am

Looking puzzled he puts his glasses on to closely read the
clock and sees it acually says 3:46am

Surprised it has gotten so late he gets up and walks off to
          bed

As he walks away there is a figure in the window

suspense short film and I’m having
                    trouble with it

Friend: Oh yeah? what do you have
                    so far?

Boy: Right now all I have is a
writer who is stumped on a story,
                    and gets creeped out easily.

Friend: Haha! Sounds more like a
                    diary than a short film

Boy: yeah really thats what I am

these weird feelings lately and I
                    dont know why.

Friend: oh I see your story is so

Boy: Oh I dont think its my story,

                    often make horror flicks

Boy: Yeah but I’ve been through so

Friend keeps talking about his job at an advertising group,
but boy zones out staring at a figure standing down the

Boy: There is a scene, on my
script, and I dont remember writing
                    it!

Friend: Ok man chill out. Obviously

                    nap or something

                    Boy: Yeah ok a nap

Boy notices something on the counter and slowly moves
          towards it
                    Friend (Heard through the phone):
Oh yeah man and there is a letter
there for you. It was on the door
                    step.

Boy picks up letter and looks at the handwritten name and
adress and slowly and nervously opens it

The letter contains a small folded peice of paper

The boy slowly takes out the piece of paper and opens it
                    "457-2991"

Boy (Under his breath): What the...

Boy picks up phone and dials number
Phone rings for a bit then goes to
                    busy signal

Boy: Hum thats interesting, oh well

Boy sits back down at computer

Begins to type working on his script
"The man recieved a letter, he
slowly opened the letter to find
only a phone number. Curious he
calls the number, only to get a
busy signal. He calls the phone
                    again. This time someone answers,
its a girl sounds like shes in her
teens. She says hello a couple
times before he gets the courage to
                    say hello back..."

Boy hears girls voice saying hello through a phone

He stands up and looks at the phone to see its off the hook

He grabs the phone looking very confused and answers
                    Boy: Hello.

                    Girl: Hello? Who are you?

Boy: I was about to ask that I
believe you left my number at my
                    doorstep.

Girl: Oh thats right I did! I heard
you were a writer and well I want
to be a writer but I need some
                    advice.

Boy: Oh yeah? what do you need to
                    know?

There is no response just a busy signal again

Boy holds phone away from ear and looks confused, he hangs
up the phone and goes over to the coffee maker to pour
          another cup

                                                                  5.

He goes back to his desk, taking a sip of his coffee and as
he looks at his computer screen he gets startled and spits
          his coffee out

answering and it happend, and then

This is my first screen play.. with my weak grammar.

It’s pretty short screen play, but enjoy it 🙂

intro

There are 2 guys, Josh and Daniel. Josh and Daniel are really smart. But Josh was always first one and Daniel was always second one. One day, Daniel gets the highest mark in his school and Josh gets second mark. Josh gets mad because he does not get the highest mark.

Kills

Teacher: Here’s your mark guys. Daniel, you did great job this time!

Josh: What was just happened? Oh My God. I’m not the highest one?

Daniel: I won this time, Josh. You better give up.

Josh: It shouldn’t be happened! It’s because of you! Daniel, you should disappear in this world.

Josh kills Daniel because he did not get the highest mark. Josh starts to be crazy. He isn’t normal. He is crazy.

Classroom

Teacher: Is everyone here?

Students: Josh and Daniel are away.

Teacher: They went to washroom 20 minutes ago. John, Go and check it.

So John goes to washroom to check them.

Finds

John goes into the washroom and sees Daniel’s corp and gets shocked. Suddenly, there is an announcement.

Announcement: LOCK DOWN! EVERYONE LOCK DOWN!

John was frozen and did not know what to do. He locked the washroom door.

Escapes

Announcement: Code Green!

John thinks it is not dangerous anymore. John goes back to the class and sees classmates’ corps. John tries to call the police and escape the school, but there is no signal in school and all the doors were closed.

John: I have to escape this place.

Suddenly, Daniel appears.

Daniel: You are the last one, John.

John: How can you do that to people?

Daniel: If I cannot be the first place, I will kill everyone instead of being a loser.

John: You cannot be the first place. Killing people does not make you first place. But the only way you can be successful is trying hard, not killing your rival.

Daniel: So you are saying that I did not try hard? Is that why I’m not the best one? Then I will just kill myself. That will make it better, right?

John: NOOOO!!

Daniel kills himself.

John: Daniel… You are an unfortunate one. I’ll miss you… forever..

In a cemetery, a funeral is being held. Several men and
women dressed in black surround a coffin with flowers laid
across it. A pastor reads from a Bible, then motions towards
          Sams Dad.

uhh... well I’m not the greatest at
this sort of thing. But, if theres
one thing that needs to be said,
its this: I loved Sams mother more
then anything, and in the end, we
both decided that for Sams sake, we
should take a break, so she went
off on her own for a while. And for
those months that we spent apart, I
hated myself for just letting her
go. I wish I had run after her, and
begged her to stay, but I didn’t.
And now its too late to change what
happened, and I wish more then
anything that I had gotten the
chance to tell her that I loved
her. She was an amazing person, and

The Pitbull Law

If dogs are said to be a man’s best friend, why is the Ontario government trying to cause the extinction of a specific dog breed? Many people love pit bulls, but that did not stop the government from passing the “Pitbull Law” which states that no pit bulls are to be sold, bred, or imported into the province of Ontario. Why is it acceptable to pass judgement on one type of dog breed when the same treatment would not be tolerated for humans? How is this law fair to the loyal owners that love the breed? Did the government consider that the dog’s bad behaviour could be a result of poor training? Overall, it is unfair for a dog breed to be banned simply because of a societal stereotype.

Everything comes in different shapes, sizes, and colours and it has been instilled from a young age not to judge based on those differences. However, the pitbull does not get that type of respect, as many people jump at the chance to judge them.  Just because the pitbull has a larger body and may appear scarier than most other dog breeds people assume that they are vicious
and simply want to attack. Jumping to that conclusion is like stereotyping a man with a bigger build as someone that wants to harm other individuals. We know this is not true, as most men that have bigger builds are very friendly. This realization of an obvious stereotype could go for pit bulls too, as most of the pit bulls are friendly and just like any other dog.  Unfortunately, unlike humans they are not considered to be equals with other dogs and are treated as if they are horrible
creatures that don’t deserve to live.

The treatment of the pitbull breed is unquestionably unfair to owners and breeders alike.  Most owners have grown up with pitbulls and
have a developed an attachment to the breed, and now are being told that they are not allowed to have them any longer. While many of the breeders are finding themselves having to make the choice between leaving their family and their home to move to a province that
allows pitbulls, or staying in Ontario and living without the dog they adore and losing the income that they were making by selling the puppies.  This is a very hard decision that these individuals should not even have to consider making, and yet they are still being forced to do so.

Although some owners take excellent care of their pets, there are some that should not have a pitbull or any other dog to begin with.  Many people that own a dog do not know how to properly care for them and they do not give them the attention they need. As a result, dogs start to develop bad behaviour and it is due to this behaviour that some dogs end up attacking. Even though other dogs are known to attack, pit bulls are the only dogs that are being punished, which is truly unfair. Since other dogs do attack it shows that it is not just pitbull, but rather the owners that have role in how their dogs behave. Therefore, it is inexcusable to put all the blame on the dog, while the owners do not get any punishment. The dogs are not the ones in control, and for this reason the owner is the one who needs to be punished.

Overall, pit bulls should not be banned from Ontario simply because of a societal stereotype.  It is unfair to the dog to be judged just
because they have a bigger body type, it is unfair to the owners that love and breed them, and it is unthinkable to punish a dog for an owner’s neglect. Therefore, for these, and countless other reasons, the pit bull ban should be dropped.

scene1:

shot of gloved hands clenching in a dark room

person walks down a dark hallway, a door creaks open
and you see a tiny light but no objects. Wide shot of an old house,
person screams. Young girl runs out of house screaming. Shot of moon
while she dials 911, then sirens start.

Police man 1: “Tell me what happened.”

Girl: “I’m not entirely sure, I was downstairs when i
heard my mother scream. By the time I got upstairs she was lying on the
ground not breathing.”

Police man 1: “Did you see anyone?”

Girl: “No, but I know it was my dad, he killed her then ran.”

Police man 1: “You’re sure?”

Girl: “I’m sure.”

Police man 1 walks over to other police and tells them what he just heard.

Police man 2: “This doesn’t make any sense. Her father has been away at war for 6 months.

Police man 1: “Then what happened in there?”

Shot of the house.

scene2:

Shot of a car driving into a driveway or a house.

Woman: “Well, here we are.”

Car stops and woman gets out opens trunk to get some bags. The young girl slowly gets out looking at the house.

Woman: “I know it’s not much but it’s home. Why don’t we go inside.”

Woman and girl go inside.

Woman: “Guys, come on down here Aliza’s here!”

Shot of a staircase and a girl about 20, a girl about 16, a boy about 8 and a man and a baby come down them.

20 year old girl: “Hi Aliza! I’m Jenny, this is Sarah, Ben, Aiden.

Girl shyly smiles and says hi.

Man: “I’m Dylan, Amy’s wife, it’s nice to have you here.”

Girl: “Thanks”

Amy: “Why don’t you show Aliza her room Jenny?”

Jenny nodds, grabs Aliza’s bags and leads her upstairs to a small room.

Jenny: “I’ll let you get settled then give you a tour of the house.”

Aliza: “Thanks.”

Jenny leaves room and shuts the door. Aliza looks
around the room and walks over to the window and looks outside. She
turns back around and walks over to her bags and starts to unpack. The
last bag she opens is filled with chemical substances. Close up on
Aliza’s face with a mischievous smile.

scene3:

Shot of outside police station then the inside where 2 men and 1 woman are talking.

Police man 1: “I’m telling you, there was definitely
no one else in that house that night. We’ve searched everywhere for a
sign of an intruder, we’ve asked the neighborhood if they saw anything
and they said no.”

Police woman : “I don’t think it was suicide either. There was clearly a sign of struggle.”

Police man 3: “Has anyone done any background research on Aliza?”

Police woman: “All it says is that she’s very gifted, especially in science.”

Police man 1: “That gets us nowhere.”

Police woman: “Maybe not, but she’s pretty smart, she could have been lying.”

scene4:

Aliza is wandering around her new house while
everyone is out. She finds a door and opens it. Shot of a staircase
going down. Aliza walks down them and finds a small abandoned basement
with only a desk, one light and no windows.

Aliza: “This will do.”

Aliza goes back upstairs and comes down a few moments
later carrying her chemicals. She sets them up and starts working on a
project. A few hours later Aliza stops working and goes back upstairs.
Shot of a calendar.

Aliza: “Just 2 more days and it’ll all be over.”

scene5:

The next day Aliza goes to an old warehouse by
herself. She takes the still functioning elevator to the second floor
and walks down a hallway hearing voices of people.

Aliza: “Hi, I’m Aliza, Jason’s daughter.”

Nurse: “Oh how nice of you to drop by Aliza! I’ll go get him right now if you’d like.”

Aliza: “Oh no that’s ok, I’m just here to help you out today if you need it.”

Nurse: “Oh well yes that’d be lovely, why don’t you just keep people company?”

Aliza: “Sure.”

Aliza looks around the room and sees and old lady sitting by herself and talking to herself. Aliza walks over and says hello.

old lady: “Jim?”

Aliza: “No, Jim isn’t here, but why don’t you tell me about him.”

The old lady tells Aliza about her husband Jim who died years ago but she can’t let him go.

Old lady: “Oh but enough about me, why is a young girl like you here?”

Aliza: “Oh just to talk. Perhaps I could tell you a story?

Old lady: “Oh that would be nice thank you.”

Aliza tells the old lady about how a few days ago her
dad killed her mother the was brought here for being insane and how
she’d eventually get revenge,

Old lady: “This must be so hard for you.”

Aliza looks out a window then down at her feet and
back to the old lady, it’s much easier than you’d think, then smiles. A
litte while later when everyone’s gone to dinner, Aliza goes off by
herself and looks around the building. She finds a small place with no
cameras watching her.

Aliza: “See you tomorrow.”

Smiling, she walks home.

scene6:

Police man: “I’m starting to think something is wrong
with Aliza. She’s not a normal 12 year old. There’s something very
different about her. And I’m sure she’s the one who killed her mother.”

Police woman: “How do you know that?”

Police man: “Well, I found these gloves in a trash
can in the kitchen of her house. It has the mothers DNA all over them.
And Aliza’s inside them. There were marks on the mothers neck, she was
choked to death. For a gifted girl, she didn’t hide her evidence very
well.

Police woman: “Why would she kill her own mother?”

Police man: “Well that’s the problem. She insists
that her father killed her mother, but he hasn’t been there for years.
I’m thinking Aliza might have a mental issue.

Police woman: “Perhaps we should pay a visit to her house.”

scene7:

Next day, a police car pulls up to Aliza’s house. A man and woman get out and ring the doorbell. Amy answers.

Amy: “Hello, officer. How can I help you?”

Police man: “Is Aliza here? We’d like to speak to her.”

Amy: “I’m afraid not. She’s out.”

Police woman: “Do you know where?”

Amy: “I think she went for a walk maybe. She said she’d be back soon, you could wait here if you’d like.”

police woman: “I think we will thank you, perhaps we could as kyou a few questions while we wait as well.”

Amy: “Of course, come in.”

Police man: “Thank you.”

The 3 of them enter the house.

scene8:

Aliza is back in the small room with no cameras
holding a glass or some liquid. She starts pouring it into a plumbing
tube. When the glass is empty Aliza drops it and starts running. As you
see Aliza running all you can hear is her heartbeat and panting. You
hear muted explosion sounds as the screen fades to black.

scene9:

Back at Aliza’s house the police man’s phone rings.

Police man: “hello?…Okay, we’ll be right there.”

Police woman: “What was that?”

Police man: “The old abandoned warehouse has exploded. They found a girl but haven’t identified her yet, we have to go.”

The police leave the house and hurry over to the
warehouse which is still smoking and in a pile with firemen putting out
fires and ash going everywhere.

Detective: “You just got here in time, they’ve identified the girl. It’s Aliza Smith. She was here when the building blew up.”

Both of the police look at the detectice in shock.
They all turn their attention to a stretcher covered up goes by with 2
paramedics on each side. Theres on arm dangling off the side with a
bracelet. Close up of the bracelet that says “love you forever
Aliza-Dad”.
